The bed, the pillows, the bathroom all very nicely presented, love the fact that it has only 5 rooms, friendly check in and accommodating after a long trip, and the location is perfect, nice for a couple adults only hotel

We travelled to Athens with a one-year old toddler, so we were looking for baby-friendly hotel in the city center. The hotel kindly provided baby cot, helped us with the airport transer (our luggage+baby's stroller would not fit the regular taxi). The hotel is located 1 minute away from Athens' busy shopping street (Ermou). Despite the central location the rooms were fairly quiet at night with lots of sunlight coming through in the morning. With only 5 rooms this hotel is compact but has all features expected - reception, breakfast, daily room cleaning. The ladies at the reception were very helpful and advised us on where to eat/what to see around Athens. The rooms are very clean and fresh, the mattresses are super comfy. Minibar and a small tea/coffee area is a nice touch. The bathroom is also good, but the bathroom door lock is a little tricky to use (tiny issue). The breakfasts are preordered the day before and arrive to your room at the time specified. The breakfast baskets are nice and full of fresh local produce (toasted sandwich, hard boiled egg, yoghurt with granola, fruits, jam and honey), but some variety would be good. If you want to have different meals for breakfast, there are plenty cafes nearby. Overall it is a great place to stay. Highly recommended.

Shame to have to score this so low as the staff and room was lovely. Problems are with noise and it has to be raised as I'd never go back or want to stay in a hotel with similar conditions. There was a club/bar on the main Street that played blaring music until about 2 in the morning. Also individuals in the street talking and sitting on mopeds until late. Location great and near the main shopping street but let down by lack of any quality sleep. Ear plugs a must. Double glazing may help to solve the issue but as it is currently I'd look elsewhere unless you can sleep through what felt like being next to a dance floor.

What you gain in terms of central location, you lose in terms of peace and comfort. Would have given a 5 if it wasn't for the noise level in the vicinity, which was was off the scale! A hotel is first and foremost a place to relax and sleep, which we simply could not do. During the day the cafe opposite blasts music out, and you can hear the (rubbish) singers down on Ermou. Then at night, nearby clubs play music so loud you can hear it word for word. This goes on until the small hours, whilst the locals seemed to use the space in front of the hotel like a car park, so engine noise is constant. Even on a Sunday morning, workmen started jackhammering the pavement before 8am! We slept really badly (only about 4 hours a night) even with earplugs, which then obviously affected our energy for sightseeing the next day :( Certainly in our room ('Relax') the doors didn't shut and seal properly (a problem we found with most doors and windows everywhere we stayed in Greece) so it sounded as if the doors were wide open all the time. If the owners could fix this/invest in better windows then we would certainly consider returning, as everything else about this place was great... Very central location - everything you need is within walking distance. The room looked exactly like the pictures and was a really generous size. Very good daily cleaning. The ladies at reception were helpful and friendly. Mini bar is actually very reasonably priced - water only 1 Euro! Aircon very effective and quite quiet. There is a lift if you can't handle the stairs.

When we decided to return to Athens there was no question we would return to Vol.5. The lodging is perfectly clean and maintained to a very high level. THe interior design is fantastic (as shown in pictures!). Location is right in the middle of everything with dozens of great restaurants, shops and tourist sites in walking distance. Owners Titika and Cha available and helpful for everything. Highly recommended.
